Many In-Vitro diagnostic techniques are based on the specific reaction between antigens and antibodies. They allow the identification or quantification of the presence of antigens or antibodies in a given sample (serum, saliva, urine…). It is possible to detect and/or quantify different types of antigens (viruses, bacteria, parasites, hormones and markers specific to certain diseases) or the response to these antigens through the intermediary of antibodies present in the organism. These techniques can be extremely sensitive and specific.
Applications:
In-Vitro diagnostics tests are used to measure, identify and quantify bacteria and viruses as well as substances generated by the human body in the presence, for instance, of an infectious disease, a cancer or a cardiac pathology.

The technologies are applied and used across many clinical areas:
Products:
In-Vitro type assays can be performed on multi-assay automated or specific single point platforms. In the last few years a number of new assay tests have been developed to be performed directly at the patient’s emergency point of care, in Doctors' offices and for in-home use.
LamdaGen is responding to an expanding public need in healthcare by developing rapid, practical and single-dose identification tests requiring no complicated instrumentation.
LamdaGen & In-Vitro Diagnostics:
At LamdaGen we have developed a significant and rapid (patent-pending) optical enhancement technique which is applicable across the wide range of most In-Vitro type Assays.
The Company’s rapid enhancement technique is novel.
